Wilmington Police have arrested a man on drug charges.
On May 27th at approximately 2:54 p.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were in the 1700 block of West 3rd Street when they observed a male subject engaged in a drug-related activity. Officers made contact with 30-year-old Jewann Hopson-El, who was taken into custody without incident. Officers recovered 0.81 grams of Heroin and 7.8 grams of crack cocaine.
Hopson-El has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver- Two Counts
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (Tier 1)
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $9,000 cash-only bail.
