Lucerne Valley Man Arrested on Criminal Threats and Firearm Charges

LOCATION: Highland Road / Hwy 18, Lucerne Valley
SUSPECT: Daniel Lovejoy, 39-years-old, Resident of Lucerne Valley
VICTIMS: 1) Adult Female
2) Adult Male
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, June 02, 2026, at 8:41 a.m., deputies from the Victor Valley station responded to the area of Highland Road and Hwy 18 in Lucerne Valley following a report of criminal threats.
Upon arrival, deputies contacted two individuals who reported that an adult male, later identified as Daniel Lovejoy, drove to their location in a white sedan and threatened to shoot them.
During the investigation, deputies learned that Lovejoy was a convicted felon and currently on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS). Deputies conducted a compliance check at his residence in the 35800 block of Sage Street in Lucerne Valley and located a vehicle matching the description provided by the victims. During a search of the vehicle, deputies located a loaded handgun.
Lovejoy was arrested and transported to the High Desert Detention Center where he was booked for criminal threats, felon in possession of a firearm, and other weapons related charges.
