Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station to Host Catalytic Converter Etching Event
Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Vehicle Theft Task Force invite residents to attend our Catalytic Converter Etching Event on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM at La Cañada High School, located at 4463 Oak Grove Drive, La Cañada Flintridge. The event will take place in the south portion of the school's front parking lot.
This event is part of the Sheriff's Department's ongoing efforts to combat catalytic converter thefts throughout Los Angeles County.
Participants will have their catalytic converters etched with a unique identifying number at no cost. Etching serves as a theft deterrent and can assist law enforcement in identifying and returning stolen catalytic converters that are later recovered during criminal investigations.
The event is free and open to the public.
We encourage community members to take advantage of this opportunity to help protect their vehicles and reduce the likelihood of becoming a victim of catalytic converter theft.
