Today, Friday, June 5th, 2026, the Monroe Township Police Department will participate in the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics New Jersey.
At approximately 8:30 a.m., officers will receive the Torch and carry it through Monroe Township. Motorists may experience brief traffic delays along Prospect Plains Road, Perrineville Road, and Helmetta Road as the Torch Run progresses through the area.
Residents and motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly and consider alternate routes when possible.
