Fireman’s Park Improvements Project Update 6-4-26 ![]()
Exciting progress is being made at Fireman’s Park! Thanks to a Recreation Passport Grant awarded to the Village in late 2024, along with a local match investment, Phase I improvements are moving forward and are expected to be substantially completed by June 30, 2026!
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Fireman’s Park is NOT OPEN for recreation while construction activities are underway. For the safety of residents, visitors, and construction crews, please do not enter the active construction zone until the project is complete and the park has officially reopened.
Phase I improvements include:
Renovated paved parking lot with ADA/van-accessible parking spaces
ADA-accessible walking paths connecting all park amenities
Renovated sport courts, including new pickleball courts
New fencing and ADA-compliant gates
ADA-accessible drinking fountain with bottle filler and pet bowl
ADA-accessible benches with companion seating
Native plantings and landscaping enhancements
Pavilion painting
These improvements will create a more accessible, welcoming, and enjoyable community park for residents and visitors of all ages.
