Help paint public murals with renowned muralists Distort, Joust, & Dillon Dunning this Saturday

The City of Hoboken invites residents of all ages to take part in a special mural arts activation as part of Southwest Fest on Saturday, June 6, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the 311 Harrison St. Courtyard near Third and Jackson Streets.

Led by artist Distort, participants will be guided through a community mural painting workshop. Paint, brushes, and panels will be available for individual works, along with a larger panel which will be dedicated to a community-generated mural that will be designed collectively by attendees and Distort.

In addition to the hands-on painting activation, local artists Dillon Dunning and Joust will be onsite installing permanent murals on the HVAC support columns in the courtyard at 311 Harrison St.

Residents are encouraged to stop by, participate in the mural-making process, and learn more about public art and mural techniques.

The mural arts activation is free and open to the public.
