1,000 Suspected Counterfeit M30 Pills Seized as Deputies Highlight Fentanyl Dangers

DATE/TIME: June 3, 2026, at 3:38 p.m.

INCIDENT: PC 11352 - Transport / Sale of Narcotics

LOCATION: 12100 block of Mariposa Road, Victorville

SUSPECT: Anthony Torres, 38-year-old, Resident of Hesperia

SUMMARY: On June 3, 2026, an investigation into a federal supervised releasee with an active no-bail warrant named Anthony Torres led the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Hesperia Gang Investigations Team to a location in the City of Victorville. Torres was suspected to be involved in the sales of counterfeit “M30” pills.

Deputies served a search warrant at the location where Torres was staying. During the service of the warrant, investigators contacted Torres and recovered approximately 1,000 suspected counterfeit “M30” pills. These pills are commonly known to contain fentanyl. The narcotics were seized as evidence, and Torres was arrested for PC 11352, and booked into HDDC.

The community should be aware that counterfeit pills are often made to resemble legitimate prescription medications and may contain fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid. These pills are frequently sold through illicit channels and may appear identical to authentic pharmaceutical products.

According to national overdose data, tens of thousands of Americans die each year from fentanyl-related overdoses. Taking any pill that was not prescribed to you or obtained from a licensed pharmacy can have deadly consequences. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department encourages residents to educate themselves and their loved ones about the dangers of counterfeit pills and illicit narcotics.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department remains committed to combating the distribution of dangerous narcotics and protecting our communities from the devastating effects of fentanyl.
