* Flash Flood Warning for... Cherokee County in southeastern Kansas... Southwestern Jasper County in southwestern Missouri... Newton County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until noon CDT Monday.

* At 557 AM CDT, Emergency management reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 4 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Joplin, Neosho, Baxter Springs, Columbus, Webb City, Carl Junction, Galena, Oronogo, Seneca, Granby, Carterville, Duquesne, Duenweg, Diamond, Leawood, Silver Creek, Fairview, Shoal Creek Drive, Saginaw, Loma Linda, Airport Drive, Lowell, Fidelity, Asbury, Newtonia, Stella, Redings Mill, Stark City, Grand Falls Plaza, Shoal Creek Estates, Waco, Ritchey, Dennis Acres, Cliff Village, Iron Gates, Oakland Park, Racine, Atlas, Riverton and Lawton.
