One Injured in Two Vehicle Crash
Sheriff Clint Roach, reports that on 06/07/2026 at approximately 1700 hours his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash near the intersection of M-60 and M-40, in Newberg Township, Cass County Michigan.
Investigation shows that 19-year-old Union resident, Paige Lilley, failed to yield to traffic at the four-way stop. Lilley then proceeded through the intersection, where she struck another vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle was 63 year old, Valparaiso resident, Linda Kartje. Also in the vehicle was passenger Jocelyn Robert, who was transported by EMS to South Bend Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN due to minor injuries.
Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor. Assisting in this crash was Newberg Fire and Porter Township EMS.
