Caution: Scam emails on the rise - Please Protect Personal Information
The Municipality has seen an uptick in suspicious emails coming from what appear to local entities that house phishing links and other malicious probes for personal data.
As a friendly reminder, please use caution when opening emails, clicking links, scanning QR codes, or providing personal or financial information online. Scammers continue to use increasingly sophisticated methods to make messages appear legitimate.
If something seems unusual or too good to be true, take a moment to verify the source before responding. When in doubt, contact the organization directly using a known phone number or website.
A little extra caution can go a long way in protecting yourself and your information.
