Deputies Arrest Woman After Reported Assault in Needles
DATE/TIME: Sunday, June 7, 2026, at approximately 6:30 a.m.
INCIDENT: PC 245(A)(1) - Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Not a Firearm)
LOCATION: 1600 block of Lillyhill Drive, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Melissa Elliott, 57-years-old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Sunday, June 7, 2026, at approximately 6:30 a.m., deputies assigned to the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to the 1600 block of Lillyhill Drive reference an assault that just occurred.
During the investigation, deputies determined that the suspect, identified as Melissa Elliott, assaulted the victim by striking him several times causing minor injuries.
Elliott was subsequently arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Elliott remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $40,000.00, awaiting a court hearing. This investigation is ongoing.
