Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help identifying the individual pictured below in connection with a shooting that occurred on May 10, 2026.
At approximately 5:10 p.m., the ShotSpotter detection system picked up gunfire in the 600 block of Broadway. Police Officers responded, canvassed the area, and located two 9mm shell casings and three live 9mm rounds.
During the course of the investigation, detectives reviewed surveillance video that captured the shooting. An individual exited a vehicle used in the shooting and ran into an apartment building on Grafton Avenue between Summer Avenue and Broadway.
