PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE OF COUNCIL VACANCY TO BE FILLED AT GENERAL ELECTION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, due to the passing of Byram Township Councilmember Harvey Roseff and the resulting vacancy in office, the unexpired term of one (1) Township Council seat shall be filled at the General Election to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, pursuant to applicable New Jersey law.
The Byram Township Council previously appointed a temporary member to fill the vacancy until a successor is elected and qualified. The individual elected at the November 3, 2026 General Election shall serve the remainder of the unexpired term ending December 31, 2029.
Residents interested in seeking election to fill the unexpired Council term are encouraged to contact the Office of the Township Clerk for information regarding petition requirements and the election process.
Official nominating petition forms must be obtained from the Municipal Clerk’s Office. Completed nominating petitions must be filed with the Township Clerk no later than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2026.
