Police Seek Help Identifying Burglary into Auto Suspect
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help identifying the suspect pictured below, who removed property from a victim’s vehicle on Sunday, June 7, 2026.
The victim parked her vehicle at approximately 8:30 a.m. in the 900 block of Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard. When she returned at 10 a.m., her front passenger window was broken, and $190 was missing from the center console. The suspect was captured on surveillance video entering the vehicle and removing property.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are confidential and could result in a reward.
