On June 10th, 2026, at approximately 11:15 PM, the Simi Valley Police Department responded to the Mount McCoy Trailhead to assist the Ventura County Fire Department on a small vegetation fire. While on scene, they contacted a female, Ingrid VasquezPalacios, a 34 year old Simi Valley resident, who started the fire.
VasquezPalacios was arrested for 452(c) PC - Unlawfully Causing a Fire and was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail.
