COMMUNITY UPDATE – PRIORITY WASTE GARBAGE & YARD WASTE PICKUP

Washington Township has been notified that some Priority Waste routes are currently running approximately one day behind schedule. We understand the frustration when garbage or yard waste is not collected on the expected day, and we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused our residents.

Priority Waste is actively working to correct these delays and has advised they are taking steps to improve service, including adding additional trucks, equipment, and drivers, while utilizing an “all hands on deck” approach with their operations, maintenance, leadership, and customer service teams to catch up.

They have also contracted additional call center support to ensure resident calls are answered within approximately 4 minutes to better assist with concerns and missed pickups.

Please continue to leave your garbage or yard waste at the curb if your route was missed. Priority Waste has advised they will continue working through the routes and should be by the following day.

Please remember:
-Garbage pickup remains the first priority since all residents receive this service.
-Yard waste pickup is being addressed as a secondary priority since not all residents utilize this service.

Priority Waste is working through the backlog, and we are hopeful these issues will be corrected within the next 1–2 weeks.
