Crime Bulletin Covering the Week of June 1-7, 2026
When I mention “the unit block” of a street, this means the incident occurred at an address anywhere between 1 and 99 of the street. Statistics are captured at the time each Crime Bulletin is written; additional cases may be reported at a later time.
Robberies
There was one robbery during the past week.
On Wednesday, 06-03-26, at approximately 7:49 p.m., officers were dispatched to Dick’s Sporting Goods at the Serramonte Center on a report of a shoplift. Two suspects entered the store, placed a bag on the floor, and concealed hoodies inside it. One of the suspects picked up the bag. An asset protection manager stated that he approached the suspect and offered assistance, but the suspect continued walking past him. The asset protection manager grabbed the bag containing the merchandise, and the suspect pulled it away, causing the bag to rip and the merchandise to fall out. The suspect then grabbed two of the hoodies and walked out of the store. The second suspect left the store through a different exit. Both suspects fled in a vehicle. A short time later, the suspect vehicle was located with both suspects inside. The stolen hoodies were recovered from the back seat. The suspect who took the two hoodies was also found to be in possession of wire cutters. This suspect, a 39-year-old San Francisco resident, was arrested and booked into jail for robbery, conspiracy to commit a crime, possession of burglary tools, petty theft, and an outstanding warrant. The second suspect, a 30-year-old Richmond resident, was arrested and booked into jail for petty theft and conspiracy to commit a crime.

Commercial Burglaries
There was one commercial burglary during the past week.
On Tuesday, 06-02-26, at approximately 9:02 p.m., officers were dispatched to Home Depot at the Westlake Shopping Center on a report of a possible shoplifter. A suspect entered the store, grabbed bolt cutters, cut the lock securing the cage containing nail guns, and walked away. Shortly thereafter, the suspect returned, removed the lock, and took three nail guns. The suspect placed one nail gun, removed from its box, at the end of the aisle toward the back of the store. The suspect may have become aware that police had arrived, as he paid for two nail guns at the self-checkout and exited the store. The suspect was subsequently arrested, and a glass bulbous pipe containing white and burnt residue, along with suspected methamphetamine, was found in his possession. The suspect, a 30-year-old San Rafael resident, was booked into jail for burglary, possession of unlawful paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and petty theft with two or more prior convictions.

Nextdoor.com
Nextdoor.com is a free private social networking website for your neighborhood. This private network ensures that only those who live in your neighborhood can join; users must go through a verification process. Neighbors ask each other for business recommendations; help in locating missing pets; discuss relevant local government issues; or connect for other reasons. It is very easy to sign up. I like the fact that the site verifies users by addresses, and it won’t allow people to access a neighborhood if they don’t live there. Please note: The City of Daly City and/or the Police Department cannot see what residents post—we are only allowed to post information. There is also a mobile application, or you can have it sent to your e-mail. Give it a try! www.nextdoor.com
