1. Armed Robbery (1058) 4300 Block of McGaw Street, Lakeview District
The male victim, 48, and the female victim, 45, went to the listed area regarding an online listing for a vehicle. A suspect approached, reached into their car, and grabbed the victim’s property. The victim fought back, and a struggle over the property ensued. The suspect pulled out a firearm and pointed it at the male, demanding his property. The suspects fled to an awaiting vehicle. SUSPECTS: A Hispanic male and a Black male.
2. Weapon Arrest (1331) 600 Block of North Aurora Street, Civic District
Officers responded to a business in the listed area on a report of a person with a firearm in his backpack. Officers detained the suspect and located the firearm with high-capacity magazines along with narcotics. ARRESTED: Christopher Corneal, 18, for weapon and narcotic charges.
