Road Closure Notice: Green Street
To accommodate the All-American Soap Box Derby, Green Street will be closed between Fairway Drive and Turnberry Drive during the following times:
Practice Run: Saturday, June 13 | 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
Race Day: Saturday, June 20 | 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
Detour routes will be posted via Fairway Drive, Valley Road, and Turnberry Drive. Additional closures will occur at Young Street, with traffic redirected to Timothy Street and Clover Avenue. Traffic from St. Paul Avenue will be permitted to exit southbound only through the course area to Green Street.
We understand Green Street is one of McHenry’s busiest roadways, and we sincerely appreciate the patience and understanding of our residents, businesses, and visitors as we welcome racers and families from across the region for this exciting community event.
