As the FIFA World Cup kicks off today, let’s enjoy the games while staying vigilant of current weather conditions.
A Heat Advisory is currently in effect until 11 PM tonight including parts of Richmond closer to the SF Bay Shoreline (85 to 96 degrees expected). For inland areas including El Sobrante, the Heat Advisory will remain in effect until 7 PM tomorrow Friday (90 to 103 degrees expected).
This level of heat affects most individuals sensitive to heat, especially those without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration.
What can you do if you’re out and about?
- Stay hydrated!
- Wear lightweight and loose clothing
- Limit strenuous activities to the early morning or evening hours
- Do not leave young children or pets unattended in vehicles
