INCIDENT: Felon Found in Possession of a Firearm and Controlled Substances During Traffic Stop
LOCATION: Oakwood Avenue and Juniper Street, Hesperia
SUSPECT: Lance Lapp, 33-year-old resident of Hesperia
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, June 11, 2026, investigators with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department's Hesperia Gang Investigations Team conducted a traffic stop around Oakwood Avenue and Juniper Street for vehicle code violations.
Deputies contacted the vehicle's occupants and identified the passenger as Lance Lapp, who was found to have an outstanding felony warrant. A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of a loaded Glock 19 handgun with the serial number removed, suspected methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.
Lapp was arrested for Felon in Possession of a Firearm PC 29800(a)(1), Felon in Possession of Ammunition PC 30305(a)(1), and Possession of a Controlled Substance While Armed HS 11370.1(a).
