Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting death of a male juvenile (*originally reported as a male adult). The victim was treated on scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics and transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced deceasd.
Investigators learned an altercation took place outside of a local business. During the altercation, the suspect shot the victim and then fled on foot and out of view.
The investigation is on-going and there is no additional information at this time.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are responding to assist Cerritos Sheriff’s Station with a shooting death investigation. The incident was reported Saturday, June 13, 2026, at approximately 4:01 PM on the 18600 block of Gridley Rd., in the city of Cerritos.
The victim, a male adult, was transported to a local area hospital and pronounced deceased.
