On June 14, 2026 , at approximately 9:26 am, Simi Valley Police officers received an alert from the FLOCK Safety camera system regarding a stolen vehicle traveling northbound near Stearns Street and the 118 Freeway.
Within minutes, an officer located the vehicle and followed it while additional units responded to the area. When the vehicle entered the eastbound 118 Freeway, the driver failed to yield to officers, leading to a pursuit.
During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle reached speeds exceeding 100 mph and traveled through portions of Moorpark before exiting the freeway. The vehicle eventually drove through the area surrounding Moorpark College, where the two occupants abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot into a nearby residential neighborhood.
Officers established a perimeter and searched the area. Both suspects were located in a nearby neighborhood and taken into custody without further incident.
The investigation determined the vehicle had been reported stolen and the driver was identified as Fernando Robles-Garcia (20, San Fernando) and was arrested for driving a stolen vehicle and felony evading. The passenger was a juvenile and later released to parents.
