Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on 06/13/2026 at approximately 1858 hours, his deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a two-vehicle crash in the area of M 40 and Teasdale Lake St, Porter Township, Cass County Michigan.
The investigation showed that a vehicle driven by Dylan Burkey (20 years old from Constantine, MI) was eastbound on Teasdale Lake St when he disregarded the stop sign and entered the intersection of M 40 and Teasdale Lake St. Abdul Yaqubi (25 years old from Thornton, CO) who was traveling southbound on M 40 collided with Burkey. Abdul Yaqubi was transported by SEPSA to Elkhart General Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
Assisting agencies on scene were SEPSA Fire and Ambulance and True's Towing.
This crash remains under investigation.
