The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Fire Weather Watch for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels, which is in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 200 Little Snake Forecast Area, Fire Weather Zone 207 Southwest Colorado Lower Forecast Area, Fire Weather Zone 293 Gunnison Basin Forecast Area and Fire Weather Zone 294 Southwest Colorado Upper West Forecast Area. In Utah, Fire Weather Zone 487 Book Cliffs.

* TIMING...From Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening.

* WINDS...West 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...7 to 12 percent.

* IMPACTS...Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise extreme caution with any outdoor burning.

* AFFECTED AREAS: LITTLE SNAKE ... SOUTHWEST COLORADO LOWER FORECAST AREA ... GUNNISON BASIN ... SOUTHWEST COLORADO UPPER WEST FORECAST AREA ... BOOK CLIFFS
