A 2-acre brush fire has ignited in the riverbed off Encanto Parkway, at the north end of Van Tassel Trail.
Los Angeles County Fire Department is on scene to mitigate the situation. Encanto Parkway at Hacienda is being shut down to assist with fire operations. Residents are advised to avoid the area.
There is no immediate threat to Duarte at this time.
