* Flash Flood Warning for... Northern Beauregard Parish in southwestern Louisiana... Southwestern Vernon Parish in west central Louisiana... Northeastern Newton County in southeastern Texas...

* Until 415 PM CDT.

* At 1210 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain in DeRidder. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... De Ridder, Newton, Rosepine, Merryville, Fort Polk, Sugartown, New Llano, Junction, Tulla, Burr Ferry, Stringtown, Cravens, Pickering, Evans and Bundick Lake. Beauregard SO reports flooded roads and homes around DeRidder
