Gloucester Township Police Media Release- Residential Fire Quickly Contained; No Injuries Reported
On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at approximately 2:01 PM, officers from the Gloucester Township Police Department responded to the unit block of Brookline Court in the Clementon section of Gloucester Township for a reported residential fire.
Upon arrival, officers observed smoke coming from the roof of the residence and flames from the garage. Initial reports indicated that all occupants had safely evacuated the home; however, there was concern that a dog remained inside. Responding personnel quickly confirmed that the dog had been safely accounted for and was not injured.
The fire was extinguished by firefighters from Gloucester Township and several neighboring fire departments. Additional assistance was provided by Inspira Basic Life Support.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. The residents were temporarily displaced due to damage sustained to the home. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Gloucester Township Police Department and the Chews Landing Fire Department Fire Marshal’s Office.
