Save the Date for this year's National Night Out (NNO)! Tuesday evening, August 4, 2026
Join us as we come together to celebrate community, strengthen neighborhood connections, and build positive police-community relationships.
National Night Out is a great opportunity to meet your neighbors, enjoy family-friendly activities, and work together to create safer, stronger neighborhoods.
Every year, there are two ways to celebrate "America's Night Out Against Crime". You and your neighbors can host an event on your block and invite the neighborhood and PD personnel to stop by, or you can visit with us at our FREE public safety event.
Individual Block Events
Date: The evening of Tuesday, 8/4/26
Location: You tell us! Registered events will get a visit from a police officer. (Registration will open July 1-24.)
Time: That's up to you, but PD visits are scheduled between 6-9pm.
FREE Public Event
Date: Tuesday, 8/4/26
Location: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center, 725 Monte Diablo Ave.
Time: 5:30-8pm
We'll have a K9 or two, SWAT Trucks, Drones, Resources, Music, Raffles & Fun. McGruff the Crime Dog will also be there, and many other wonderful tidbits that make this a safe night out with the family.
The true spirit of NNO lives within the neighborhoods, so we encourage you all to get together and plan events where you live. Something as simple as a BBQ or Ice Cream Social in your driveway is a great way to spend time meeting one another and talking about the safety of your area. Block registration will open on July 1st, but definitely start planning now.
We're also looking for sponsorships, donations, and/or vendors, who would work well with our safety resource fair vibe. Please email [email protected] if you are interested in any of these options.
Help us make this year's National Night Out a memorable evening of community spirit and connection, all while reminding criminals that we stand against crime and look out for one another.
Email [email protected] with questions and stay tuned for more info as we get closer.
