The Arroyo Grande Police Department is providing an update regarding an ongoing electronic peeping investigation involving incidents reported at Planet Fitness, located at 1576 W. Branch St. in Arroyo Grande.
Since the initial release, investigators have continued forensic examinations and victim identification efforts related to evidence recovered during the investigation. Investigators have now positively identified 23 of the victims believed to be depicted in the videos. Efforts remain ongoing to identify and contact the remaining victims.
The Arroyo Grande Police Department is also releasing the identity of the suspect involved in this investigation as 40-year-old Kyle L. Combs of Grover Beach. The suspect’s identity was not initially released to protect the integrity of the investigation and avoid compromising investigative efforts while investigators worked to identify victims and preserve the case.
The Arroyo Grande Police Department anticipates submitting the case to the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office by the end of this week, requesting filing consideration for violations of Penal Code section 647(j), Using a Concealed Recording Device in a Private Area.
The Arroyo Grande Police Department continues to seek assistance in identifying additional victims.
