Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. announces that the following streets will be closed during the hours below for the Juneteenth Festival.
• Saturday, June 20, 2026 - 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Bergen Street between Lyons Avenue and Nye Avenue.
The event begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 7 p.m.
A stage will be located on Bergen Street near Harding Terrace for scheduled performances and event programming. The event will include food, health and wellness organizations, vendors, amusement rides, and other family-friendly attractions.
Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and to plan alternate routes.
Director Miranda thanks you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this event.
