Wilmington Police have arrested a wanted man on drug and gun charges following an investigation.
 
On June 12 at approximately 6:02 a.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division and the Crisis Management Tactical Team executed a search warrant in the 800 block of West 7^th Street in reference to an ongoing drug investigation. Police took 29-year-old Amir Pierce into custody without incident, and recovered a loaded 9mm handgun that has been reported stolen out of West Chester, Pa.; a second 9mm handgun; ammunition; approximately 1.95 grams of heroin; approximately 0.2 grams of crack cocaine; firearm magazines and drug packaging material.
 
Pierce, who was found to be wanted out of Pennsylvania on an unrelated matter, has been charged with the following offenses:

• Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony – Two Counts
• Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Five Counts
• Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
• Receiving a Stolen Firearm
• Possession of a Controlled Substance
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
