Wilmington Police arrest 12-year-old in connection with assault involving BB gun: 
Wilmington Police have arrested a 12-year-old following an assault involving a BB gun.
On June 15 at approximately 3 a.m., police responded to the hospital in reference to a 14-year-old male who had been shot with a BB gun while in the 700 block of South Buttonwood Street and had suffered a serious eye injury. Through further investigation, police identified a 12-year-old male as a suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest.
On June 16, police responded to the 1100 block of B Street and took the 12-year-old male suspect into custody without incident, and also recovered the BB gun used during the incident. He has been charged with the following offense:
