Borough Residents!
Borough wide 250th activity: Fire Hydrant Decoration contest! This was held in the Borough in 1976 for the Bicentenial and we would love to see the tradition continue. Winner will be announced at our 250th Stars & Stripes of America Block Party on Friday 7/3/26. Winner will receive an All American Gift basket.
250th committee will be driving around to take pics the week before the event, no need to register. We do have a few guidelines that you 'll need to follow:
1. You canont paint a hydrant if it is on your property without written permission from the property owner.
2. You must use a drop cloth around the hydrant.
3. No political, racial or offensive art. If yours is found to be out of compliance, it will be painted over in yellow. This is the Borough's discretion.
4. If you have a hydrant and want it painted, but cannot do it, please email [email protected] and we will find someone who wants to do it for you!
5. Criteria: RED, WHITE, BLUE, STARS ANYTHING AMERICANA!
