Robberies
 
There were no robberies during the past week.
 
 
Residential Burglaries
 
There were two residential burglaries during the past week.
 
Between Wednesday, 06-10-26, at approximately 4:00 p.m., and Thursday, 06-11-26, at approximately 12:00 p.m., an apartment on the 900 block of Saint Francis Boulevard was burglarized. The victim’s roommate found the front door ajar and the living room ransacked. The victim’s laptop and headphones, which had been on the sofa, were taken.
 
On Saturday, 06-13-26, at approximately 2:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to the unit block of First Avenue on a report of a residential burglary. The suspect opened the victim’s garage door, entered the garage, took a backpack, and placed tools inside it. The suspect was also found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. The suspect, a 21-year-old Daly City resident, was arrested and booked into jail for residential burglary, possession of a controlled substance, and probation violation.
 
 
Commercial Burglaries
 
There were no commercial burglaries during the past week.

 
Vehicle Burglaries   
 
There were no vehicle burglaries during the past week.
 
 
Stolen Vehicles 
 
There was one vehicle stolen and one attempted vehicle theft during the past week. No vehicles were recovered.
 

• Parking garage on the unit block of Hillside Boulevard—a theft of a 2000 Ford E250. Occurred on 06-13-26 at approximately 4:15 a.m.

 

• 1600 block of Edgeworth Avenue—an attempted theft of a 2014 Hyundai Elantra. Occurred on 06-12-26 at approximately 4:16 a.m.

 
 
Miscellaneous
 

• There were 183 cases taken.

 

• There were 9 domestic disturbance cases reported.

 

• There were 9 cases involving an involuntary psychiatric hold.

 

• There were 10 malicious mischief/vandalism cases reported.

 

• There were 3 cases of public intoxication.

 

• There were 5 hit-and-run collisions reported.

 

• There were 11 narcotics-related cases taken.

FoggyCon 2026
 
The Department of Recreation Services is hosting the inaugural FoggyCon 2026 on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Event highlights include trading cards and TCG tournaments, comics, vintage toys and retro collectibles, memorabilia, tabletop and video games, and pop culture accessories and collectibles. Free Compost Giveaway
 
The City of Daly City is partnering with its waste hauler, Republic Services, to host free compost giveaway events. Compost will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. Events will take place at the Department of Water & Wastewater Resources (153 Lake Merced Boulevard) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the following dates:
 
July 15-16, 2026
September 16-17, 2026
 
To participate in the compost giveaway, please bring a sturdy container, shovels, and gloves for this self-serve event. Residents must show proof of residency and are limited to five (5) 5-gallon buckets of compost per household. Events are weather permitting and will be canceled due to rain.

Daly City Public Library Associates (DCPLA) Art & Lit Fest
 
DCPLA is hosting its 5^th Annual Art & Lit Fest on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Serramonte Center (3 Serramonte Center). This free event will showcase local poets, authors, artists, musicians, and crafters.
 
 
Daly City’s Top of the Hill Festival
 
Please save the date! Daly City’s 3^rd Annual Top of the Hill Festival will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
 
 
Catalytic Converter Etch and Protect Program
 
The Daly City Police Department is combating catalytic converter theft by providing 500 CatGuard etching label kits to the first 500 Daly City residents who complete a registration form. Once 500 completed registration forms have been submitted, the registration process will cease. Please note, one label kit per household. 
 
Each resident will be notified via email or phone call if you qualify for the label kit. Residents will be provided with a date, time and location of where the kit can be picked up. During the time of pick up, the resident will need to show proof of current residence (i.e., identification and/or utility bill). If you have any questions, please call 650-991-8119. Sandbags Available While Supplies Last
 
Sandbags are accessible 24/7 at two locations for residents with proof of residency:
 
- Department of Water & Wastewater Resources (parking lot) - 153 Lake Merced Blvd.  
- Department of Public Works (Corporation Yard entrance) - 798 Niantic Ave.  
 
Limit 10. Please take only what is needed as supplies are limited. When filling sandbags, fill them only halfway, so they are not too heavy to lift and will stack properly.
