Narrative:
On April 26, 2026, patrol deputies from the Camarillo Police Station responded to a reported commercial burglary in the 700 block of Flynn Road in Camarillo.

The investigation determined that hours earlier, (S1) Gabriel Romero, (S2) Miguel Mendoza, and two others traveled to Camarillo, stole a vehicle, and began a crime spree. Shortly after stealing the vehicle, the group targeted a commercial building in the 700 block of Flynn Road. Using powered tools, they forced entry into the business, burglarized it, and then fled in the stolen vehicle to continue their spree.

Later that morning, the suspects committed a second commercial burglary in the City of Alhambra. When contacted by Alhambra Police Department officers, the suspects fled, leading officers on a pursuit. Only Romero was apprehended at the scene. Camarillo detectives collaborated with Alhambra Police and arrested Romero in connection with both burglaries. He was booked into Los Angeles County custody and later released on bond.
On June 16, 2026, Camarillo detectives executed a search warrant in the 1200 block of 23rd Street in Los Angeles, leading to the arrest of Mendoza. He was taken into custody and booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility on charges of 459 PC-Burglary with bail set at $200,000.
