At approximately 2:30 PM, a large structure fire broke out in Boyle Heights and materials involved in the fire include solar panels. As a result, smoke and the odor of smoke may be noticeable in the City of Duarte.
At this time, there is no immediate danger to our community. However, as a precaution, individuals with pre-existing medical conditions are encouraged to remain indoors and to keep all windows and doors closed.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates should conditions change.
