On Friday, June 19, 2026, beginning at 7:00 am. the detour on Dietz Street between Walnut Street and Center Street will be put back in affect to allow the City’s contractor, Vacri Construction to connect a new watermain to the existing watermain on Dietz Street at the end of Washington Street. Signage will be in place to direct traffic around this portion on the street. The sidewalks in the immediate area will be closed to allow room for materials and equipment.
Local traffic will be allowed to access their residences from either end of the street. Work will continue until completed and planned to be completed by 3:30 pm.
Avoid the area if possible and use alternate routes. Please exercise extreme caution and obey all signs, barricades and cones.
The City will issue periodic project updates or changes via Nixle PSA as needed.
