On June 15, 2026, at approximately 5:39 pm, Central Marin Police received a call of a residential burglary that just occurred on Island Dr in San Anselmo, near the San Rafael border. The victim confronted a male suspect inside his residence and a physical altercation ensued. The victim was struck with a handgun (no shots were fired) and the suspect was seen fleeing on foot eastbound on Island Dr. The victim received medical attention for non-life-threatening injuries.

CMPA Detectives have recovered an image of a person of interest. Detectives are requesting assistance from the public in locating additional images or video of this person of interest from residential and/or local business cameras.
