The male victim, 41, was riding his bicycle in the area when he was approached by the suspect who assaulted with a sharp object before fleeing. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. SUSPECT: Hispanic male adult.
2. Weapon Arrest (1223) Shimizu Drive and Wilshire Avenue, Civic District
Officers responded to the area regarding a person with a rifle. Officers located the suspect, who was concealing the rifle under his clothing, and took him into custody without incident. ARRESTED: Damian Perez, 18, for weapon charges.
