...FAST MOVING DRY THUNDERSTORMS ON SATURDAY... .Dry thunderstorms Saturday morning will transition to more wet than dry by Saturday afternoon. Storm motion will be fast mitigating the effects of any precipitation that occurs. Therefore, a drier thunderstorm threat exists through early evening on Saturday. The National Weather Service in Elko has issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect from Saturday morning through Saturday afternoon.
* THUNDERSTORMS...Isolated to scattered dry thunderstorms.
* WIND...Erratic wind gusts around 55 mph in and near dry thunderstorms.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
* AFFECTED AREAS: WESTERN ELKO COUNTY, NORTHERN EUREKA AND LANDER COUNTIES NORTH OF INTERSTATE 80 ... CENTRAL ELKO COUNTY ... EASTERN ELKO COUNTY
