PARTICLE POLLUTION ADVISORY
The South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) has issued a Particle Pollution Advisory until Saturday, 12:30 PM. The smoke from a large structure fire in Boyle Heights that started around 2:30 PM on June 17 is impacting air quality in the San Gabriel Valley. A particle pollution advisory indicates that fine particle levels (like smoke or dust) threaten to exceed health standards. There is no immediate danger to our community. However, as a precaution, individuals with pre-existing medical conditions are encouraged to remain indoors and to keep all windows and doors closed. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates should conditions change.
