On June 19, 2026, at approximately 7:00 PM, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of N. Lincoln Street for equipment violations. During a consensual search of the vehicle, officers contacted four occupants. A pat-down of one passenger revealed a loaded privately manufactured firearm (ghost gun) concealed in his waistband.

The firearm, a P80-style handgun with no serial number, was loaded with ammunition. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Barbara County Northern Branch Jail on weapons-related charges.
