Green Bay Police Investigate Shooting Incident as Homicide on Deckner Avenue – Suspect Wanted; One Deceased, One Injured

The Green Bay Police Department is searching for a homicide suspect as it investigates a shooting on the city's east side. One person is deceased and another person is seriously injured.
 
Officers were dispatched on Monday, June 22, 2026, around 1:45 a.m. to a home on the 2400 block of Deckner Avenue for a weapon call. On scene, one victim, an 18-year-old male, was found unresponsive in the street with an apparent gunshot wound. Officers rendered first-aid; however, the victim was pronounced deceased. Shortly after, a second victim, a 17-year-old male, was located by police at a local hospital after arriving to receive medical treatment of an apparent gunshot wound. At this time, the injuries sustained by the second victim are not considered life-threatening.
 
A temporary shelter-in-place order that was issued during the early morning for those within the immediate area as SWAT and the Crisis Negotiation Team were on scene, was lifted around 8:30 a.m.
 
The investigation remains in its preliminary stages. A continued police presence should be expected in the area for an undetermined period of time.
