Our school district is exploring the creation of a Community School that would offer evening classes for adults, children, and families.
These classes could include enrichment, career skills, and lifelong learning opportunities.
We are not looking to overstep the role of our local recreation department, which already offers many outstanding programs for our community. In fact, recognizing the value of those offerings, the district proactively reached out to the recreation department to explore the possibility of a partnership should there be sufficient interest. Our goal is to complement existing opportunities and work collaboratively to best serve our students and families.
If there is enough interest, your feedback will help us potentially design programs that reflect the interests and talents of our community.
Please note: This community school will not be funded by taxpayer money. There would be fees for participants to partake in any classes or programs.
