UPDATE: Green Bay Police Identify Deceased Victim in Decker Avenue Shooting; Emerald Metoxen, 18, Oneida
The Green Bay Police Department (GBPD) can now identify the deceased victim of a reported shooting on the city's east side. This person is Emerald Metoxen, 18, Oneida.
Officers were dispatched on Monday, June 22, 2026, around 1:45 a.m. to a home on the 2400 block of Deckner Avenue for a weapon call. On scene, Metoxen was found unresponsive in the street with an apparent gunshot wound. Officers rendered first-aid; however, he was pronounced deceased. Shortly after, a second victim, a 17-year-old male, who will not be identified, was located by police at a local hospital after arriving to receive medical treatment of an apparent gunshot wound. At this time, the injuries sustained by the second victim are not considered life-threatening.
The search for a homicide suspect and the investigation both remain ongoing.
