Warrant Issued for Newark Woman Wanted for Attempted Murder
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. reports that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Annette Reyes, 36, of Newark, wanted in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
At approximately 6 p.m., Police responded to a call of a shooting at South 6th Street near Cabinet Street. Responding Officers located a 17-year-old girl who had been shot following an altercation with a woman she knows. The victim was transported to University Hospital and is reportedly in stable condition.
Detectives investigating this incident have identified Annette Reyes as a suspect in this shooting and have obtained a warrant for her arrest on charges of attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an illegal purpose.
