The National Weather Service in Elko has issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect from Friday morning through Friday evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 424, 425, 426, 427, 438, 469, and 470.
* WIND...Sustained west winds near 20-25 mph, with gusts 30-35 mph.
* HUMIDITY...Minimum relative humidity values as low as 7 percent.
* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
* AFFECTED AREAS: SOUTHEASTERN HUMBOLDT COUNTY AND NORTHERN LANDER COUNTY ... WHITE PINE AND NORTHEAST NYE COUNTIES ... NORTHERN NYE COUNTY - MOJAVE ... CENTRAL NEVADA - TOIYABE ...
