Tennis registration to open Wednesday, June 24

Registration for youth tennis will open tomorrow, June 24, at 5 p.m. online at https://hoboken.recdesk.com/Community/Home. A previous Nixle had the wrong date.

Storytime postponed to July 21

Due to inclement weather, Pride Month Storytime with Harmonica Sunbeam has been postponed to July 21 at Shipyard Park at 6:30 p.m.

Southwest Resiliency Park playground to be closed Wednesday for completion of fence repairs 

The Southwest Resiliency Park playground will be closed starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, for the reinstallation of playground fencing panels that were removed for repair a few weeks ago. The park will re-open mo later than 5 p.m. on the same day.   
 
The rest of the park will remain open.  

Register for the landlord webinar on understanding rent control & compliance June 29

Property owners, condo owners, and landlords are invited to attend a webinar on Rent Control and Compliance 101 on Monday, June 29, at 6 p.m.

This webinar, hosted by the Rent Leveling & Stabilization Office,  will provide an overview of rent control, annual registration requirements, SDL Portal registration procedures, required documentation, common registration mistakes, and compliance obligations under Rent Control Chapter 155.

Attendees will also learn how registration affects eligibility for allowable legal rent increases.

Timely and accurate registration is a legal requirement and helps:
  • Maintain eligibility for allowable rent increases, including CPI adjustments and Vacancy Decontrol where applicable;
  • Protect property owners from fines and penalties;
  • Ensure accurate City records;
  • Promote transparency and accountability within Hoboken's housing market.


Properties that fail to register may be subject to increased registration fees and may forfeit eligibility for future rent increases.
