LOCATION: Nisqualli Road / Third Avenue, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Antonio Canela, 20-year-old, Resident of Victorville
SUMMARY: On Sunday, June 21, 2026, at approximately 11:35 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Station responded to the area of Nisqualli Road and Third Avenue regarding multiple reports of a man with a gun and gunshots heard in the area.
Deputies conducted an area check and located, Antonio Canela, who matched the suspect description provided by witnesses. Canela was detained, and deputies recovered a firearm on his person.
The investigation revealed Canela fired multiple gunshots at a residence and a vehicle parked on the driveway of a residence in the 16000 block of San Juan Street. Deputies located multiple fired cartridge cases and bullet strikes at the location. No one was found to be injured.
Antonio Canela was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, for PC 246 – Shooting at Inhabited Dwelling or Occupied Vehicle, PC 30605(A) – Possession of an Assault Weapon, PC 26350(A)(1(A) – Open Carry of Unloaded Handgun, and PC 32310(A) – Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine.
